Abs Swims, Bikes and Runs

"I may not hear the Rocky theme song, or see the sunset anywhere, but for me, this may be a sort of conclusion. An understated, rainy-day-sneakers sort of conclusion. An anticlimax, if you will. But the long and the short of it is that this kind of conclusion fits who I am. I didn't start running because somebody asked me to become a runner. One day, out of the blue, I started to run. Simply because I wanted to." Murakami

Another step

I'm back to hitting the 10 KM mark now...albeit in parts. I managed a morning 5 KM followed by an evening of cross training and a 5 KM run under 30 minutes again. I am on track to hit the required mileage for this week and probably start exceeding it next month onwards.

The best feeling so far, which has given me a sudden surge of confidence is that over the last few days, I've noticed that I feel significantly fresher after a rigorous run the previous evening. This morning too, despite 10 KM and cross training yesterday, I feel fairly strong, fresh and almost no pain or discomfort. This is surely a sign that the body is adapting to the regimen decently thus far at least.

But I still need to drop about 6 kilos...that is a real challenge.
